    proposition: mercredi aprem pour les kids et mercredi soir pour les adultes. première date? 2 septembre? (seulement pour les adultes) à l’abri moto, car c’est publique (on peut pas faire au barbook)

    Malcolm: we always try to keep Ded away from the work from us try shut him off, conversations are on “hard” topics like contracts etc, but it doesnt work as we have very fundamental different way of handeling things (financially/charisterics…) and to make things work, the relationsship better, we need to develop direct contact with ded and connect with him more personally

    BRAINSTORM STIFTUNGSTATUTEN n°1
    Visiting member : Emilie Gremaud Commitee : Malcolm Braff, Nyima Sauser, Noé Franklé, Martìn Theurillat, Frédérique Margot, Claire Huguenin
    Rappel : Nous avons la possibilité de racheter le bâtiment, l’avantage et aussi la nécessité. Nous devons nous positionner clairement comme acheteur d’ici environ un an vis-à-vis des propriétaires, faute de quoi l’usage que le projet fait du bâtiment va potentiellement dégrader la valeur locative du bâtiment. Nous visons la création d’une fondation qui deviendrait propriétaire et bailleuse à notre association Les Suites du Pantographe.
    Malcolm : propose de retravailler les buts de l’association LSP dans une forme plus détaillée afin d’obtenir un panorama au sein duquel on choisirait ce qui tiendrait d’une valeur de la fondation ou de l’association.
    Malcolm démarre :
    Lieu où activité* « artistique » (*à définir) puisse se développer indépendemment de la logique du marché.
    Martin : côté culturel / côté politique. Protéger une forme de vie manifestement animée (échange, écologie, jardinage, système argent interne) par une idéologie forte. À spécifier et départager, non ?
    Malcolm : les activités* sont déjà fragilisées par la logique de marché, et non libres. L’autosuffisance alimentaire et autres mesures viennent réduire la charge des finances et sont des mesures qui s’appliquent dans la suite logique d’un désir de protéger les activités*.
    Postulat : les activités* sont centrales pour la société. Il faut les protéger pour la sauvegarde de la société elle-même. Proposition : cf. texte lien dans statuts association. Les activités* font du lien. Le centre des activités créatrices comme étant de révéler des liens entre tout. Repostulat : la nature du monde est que tout est fait de lien. Un tissu du réel que les activités* révèlent.
    Claire résume : le monde c’est tout lié. Le voir est nécessaire, les activités* révèlent cette réalité,
    Malcolm : le travail de mettre en lien l’objet d’art avec le public, réussir à mettre en contact ce qui se passe dans le lieu du projet avec les gens du dehors = aussi un lien. Prendre soin des activités* pour qu’elle puisse fleurir.
    Emilie : « encourager » les activités*
    Malcolm : notion de collectif (loyer comme-ci), mais aussi pratique de la collectivité (au sens concentrique qui finit par englober le monde) basé pour l’instant sur les principes permaculturels. NB : système où les objets du systèmes sont reliés de façon redondante est résilient. Le lieu comme une « poche de résilience » dans le contexte de l’effondrement économique/culturel annoncé.
    Il faut définir l’activité. Qu’essaye-t-on de promouvoir :
    Martin propose un Qu’en pensez-vous ? Frédérique : ça me parle beaucoup, Malcolm m’en avait parlé avant que je décide de venir et c’est aussi la base de ma venue ici. Comme dit Nyima, je souhaite qu’on écrive, qu’on développe petit à petit. C’est pas vraiment non plus mon domaine…
    Noé : je pense qu’il faut aller au-delà de l’idée de lieu-abris qui protège qqch. Expérimentation.
    Rappel : choix opérés dans les statuts concernant espace privé/collectif et contribution libre nature/importance.

    On essaye d’attaquer un thème jusque là inabordé mais C’est qui qui vient et à quelle condition ? Quelles sont les conditions d’accueil d’une nouvelle personne pour vivre en permanence ?
    Malcolm : propose de présenter le projets aux demandeurs en proposant d’adhérer au principe de participation libre à la collectivité
    On distingue des catégories d’usagers: résidents permanents résidents temporaires visiteurs de résidents permanents ou temporaires public
    Martin propose d’exiger la participation après la visite essai. La notion d’exigence est rejetée. Accent sur la communication de certaines valeurs.
    Martin : pour la prochaine fois, qualité des différents usagers par écrit.

    BUYING THE HOUSE why we want the association to sign the contract and not individuals: owners (alleged) prespective is wrong; most individuals dont have the revenues to pay for the rent, activly collecting the % each has to pay monthly is impossible. we can only afford this place through the association, where everybody is part of. owners are afraid they cannot legally proscecute sombody, so their afraid.
    CONVENTION = relationship to owners as agency manages incomings, renovations, general care taking, elecricity, water agreement is very open transparent on both sides, got updated in may 2020 and changes were made: rent increased + additional work etc…
    2 things are wrong in this convention, acc. to Mcm • their basic refrenence point is their fathers income which it mustnt change, therefore numbers are calculated accoringly • in their annual calculation they included a vacancy valued CHF4000. This Calculation is based on FULL RENT=CHF60 000. So, CHF4000 a year is an EXPENSE that get lost on average to vacancy. However, 4000 should be taken off the calculation bc we are renting the whole building so these

    Instagram: Content is about sending a vibe of dynamic nature. all pictures „should“ include some kind of (hidden) activity. Social media management: Laura & Nyima

    Creation of Statuten: How do we see this place, what is our vision for this place? What ideas do we want to communicate? What do people expect from our statuten?
    Laura: This place is about Music and art. Welcoming for artists, „feel good“ inspires, helps creating art. Constant exchange between generations, interactions between the arts, styles, Hotpot. Protected environment for art.
    Alvin: taking time of doing things, a slow down. Either isolate, or focus; possibility to dive deep into something. Notion of participation. Taking care of project. the project itself is also art.
    Malcolm: Expanding „art“ as much as possible. Taking care of a thing is called art. What are conditions to call something art? Define art as broad as possible. Include Gardeners, mathematician, philosopher, banker… Another filter: people who come here agree to become part of the collective. Interesting in participating. What place is is upon the people coming, responsibility shared. This is why it could become a nazi place. Everything is free to discuss.
    Collective space which is meant as a tool for doing things in a creative way. Essence of art is making links between people Reducing needs=reducing stress. Foundation should only state as general as possible
    Laura: anyone who needs space to create is free to come? Would a banker be welcome Linking whatever to whatever.
    Malcolm: art is most effective activity to reveal and explore
    Laura: This place is an experience of collective, educational effect
    Claire: nicht nur zum Nutz, keine Dienstleistung, sondern experience
    Malcolm: Everybody who comes here is considered as a designer of the project. Your mojo is is welcome. Whoever you are whatever your thing is it’s welcome here. No matter how much it contradicts/differs from one another. Modular and flexible place. New people who come adapt to people who are already here and vice versa. The only one wo has authority about the art is the artist itself. Form of contribution is left to designer itself.
    What is NOT welcome here?
    Certain behaviors, attitude, lack of flexibility
    No predesigned solutions!: On the initiative of a residency piano gets tuned, not on a phone call by a potential recidency. There is no service provided in a sense of hotel, Airbnb concept.
    Example: Writer and heavy metal band. Writer cannot expect (and insist!) on 20h silence per day and heavy metal band can’t expect to play whole night. They must find agreement, communicate and find solution together!
    Note: Time is important, need further formulation (Malcolm) more is better to get to know each other, time to react deepen relationship between recidencies and the place and project.
    Malcolm: Place is kept apart from marketing/business. Its protected bc it is independent from money making motives. We do not try to sell, still we are polluted with thoughts(?). We have a vivid, strong, stable, resilient place for art creation and social connection. Local economy, free contribution, isolated from monetary dynamics.
    Claire: How do we cover monetary need in this project on the long run?
    Malcolm: We try to reduce the need. Idea of Foundation is money gets blocked and dedicated to an idea. Foundation gets controlled by the state, which gives a certain stability

    Conclusion
    we are the link between people and art (inter and intra) collective and protected space to create art in a broad sense secondary we have many things to offer as facility, studio, instruments, etc however, we do not provide service! every recidency is regarded as a designer of the project built upon idea of free contribution; constributions in all forms are freely selectable by each member kept apart from business, marketing and advertisment monetary circulation is as reduced as possible, ideally non- existent

    Log CommiTEA 11.02.20 by Claire New permanent resident Awaiting Noé’s visit upcoming Friday, expecting more news from him then. Web presence of Les Suites Frédérique offers to set up an FB account and produce content regularly, something she does well and with pleasure. Instagram account could be made also, we would like so see how technically feasible to have several individuals connected to a same Instag account. We had setup an instag account with info@pantographe.info, pssw. possibly pantoins65 ; if not ask Léonard Schwaab who set it up intially. Current website www.les-suites-du-pantographe.org hosted on WordPress format, F suggests to add content. Everyone agrees. Malcolm announces a new Google My Business account allowing us to promote via search engine. Content needs to be provided (photos, txt). Location tag already set. Access for all commitee people to… Malcolm brings it up : everyone should have access to the residency calendar and the utility van calendar. I add the WordPress account. Communication towards Visiting Members Malcolm wants a reestimation of the 20.-/day. He also suggests a formulation to explain contributions including not only needs in terms of finances, but also in Time for caretaking of project, Time for development of project. We could try to draw a broad picture for VMs, showing the needs of the project, with a size estimation and a list of ongoing goals they could engage with, to be linked with a clear statement that VM contribution is expected, but determined both in nature and size by the VMs. Small House Life facts Frédérique has given a refresh to the Foyer kitchen (clean up and tidy up cupboards with food for more ease of use by visiting members). Frédérique sees that fridge in SouthWest appartm. has a problem and plans to turn it off to let ice melt. Claire has emptied the siphoons of both East apartm. taps. Links with regional life : opportunity F has run into Didou who suggests we could collaborate on something upcoming August during la Fête du Village. Possible Hockey club involvement. TO DO LIST before Spring Tour 2020 Claire wants a focus on what we should be doing before Malcolm, Claire, Nyima and the children leave for one whole month approx. 13.03.-20.04 F requests a brief on daily house management, so she and Issaaf could handle it. In particular, she wants to know about sound equipment. Malcolm requests an inventary of our technical equipment with labelling in order to avoid VM confusion. F is ready to move in. Date set to 20.02. F figures that her furniture will all fit in her « flute » room. Claire has explained The New Deal with owners to Nyima. The broader context : the owners take responsibility and prerogative back regarding house renovation. It translates in a 552.5.-/month rent increase. We are pretty sure we don’t have it. However, 1) the owners are ready to ensure that the amount of money thus raised is in effect invested in house renovations 2) the owners are willing to have us do all renovations at a 25.-/hour + material expenses at the following conditions a) we have agreed together with the owners that a given renovation is required b) renovation does not require very specialised skills c) renovation requires more than 200.- a piece (either material cost and/or hourly wage)(otherwise, it falls under the caretaking package. We are the caretakers already). In other words, with this New Deal we are basically given the opportunity to gain back the rent increase by acting as preferential partners for house renovations. The owners make sure their building is renovated in the approriate manner too. We have agreed to try a round of this New Deal out, and will see whether we can afford it on the longer term until we buy house. Therefore we must come up with appr. 1200.- worth of renovations to cover the rent increase for the next two months. C will produce a list of potential renovations for decision making asap. We must make an estimation in terms of hourly work + extra material cost for each renovation project – have the owners confirm it – execute the renovation. Claire calls for an assessment of our project as it now stands, regarding ordinary expenses vs. ressources. Left for later discussion : what to do about Fondation/Barbook public dossiers.
